Bartholomew House, Castle Gate, Lewes

Just finished, 14th December 2010, this project has kept us extremely busy for the past 6 weeks. This Grade 2 listed town house is historically and architecturally famous, built in the 1820's and has a perfectly preserved frontage of glazed black 'mathematical tiles'. It is a timber framed house and the idea of the tiles is to make it look like it's brick.

We have completely stripped all the woodwork in the house back to bare wood, which is how the new owners want it left and we've painted all the rooms, 15 areas in all, with Earthborn and Biopin natural paints.

The photos here show the work going on, the after photos are on the way, please come back and have another look shortly.
