The owners of this property wanted to give their hall, stairs and landing a brighter, airier and more contemporary feel. The wall paper, which had been badly done in the first place, was looking a little dated and was too dark for the space.

We steamed off the paper and luckily the walls were in reasonable condition so we didn't need to lining paper them.

The customer was very keen on the idea of using natural paints and finishes as they had two small grandchildren who visited very regularly, so they didn't want the house full of nasty fumes. We painted the ceiling and walls with Earthborn claypaint and the woodwork with Earthborn Pro Aqua water based Eggshell. We fully sanded off the old gloss varnish from the stair handrails and coated them with Earthborn clear satin water based varnish.
